Where Are All The Cameras?

Safety Cameras operate at thousands of sites in the UK, on routes where there is a history of speed and collisions as well as high risk locations.

A combination of fixed site cameras and mobile safety camera units will be operating on routes throughout Wiltshire and Swindon where there is:

  • A history of collisions involving death and serious injury.
  • A significant number of vehicles exceeding that the posted speed limit.

In addition to these factors, public concern and local information are also taken into account at both mobile and fixed sites.

All fixed and mobile sites are clearly and properly signed in accordance with the Department of Transport (DfT) guidelines and have been compliant since July 2002.

Hi I was travelling to the airport this morning on the M90 spur south of the Forth Road Bridge after the designated yellow camera area approximately 1/2 – 1 mile before the M9. I saw a flashing of what I thought was a camera but I didn’t think there was one on this section of road. Could you please confirm?
